As a wedding planner I experience many stages of the wedding planning process, however it is rare to experience the actual proposal. Well this past weekend, I experienced just that. I was at a post-holiday party at a friend's house, and suddenly a guest wanted to have everyone's attention. He began by saying it was great to be surrounded by so many friends, ones that he rarely sees and ones he sees often. He then went on to say he couldn't think of a better time, with so many great friends around him, to ask someone special something really important. He turned to his girlfriend who was extremely surprised, got down on one knee and proposed. It really made an already great night even better. I've witnessed very few proposals, and it was fabulous! my hubby proposed to me while I was at work. He had everyone stop what they were doing and had the DJ make an announcement that I was needed in the front and there he was in his suit are decked out and then got on one knee.. the rest is history! :)
