The Cranwell Resort, Spa & Golf Club

This past weekend I spent some time at the Cranwell Resort in Lenox, Massachusetts. The Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) was hosting an Expanding Horizons seminar on Sunday but since it's a bit of a drive for me I spent the night there Saturday. I knew better than to attempt to get up super early and drive out the morning of the seminar. I openly admit I am not a morning person and would've needed a whole lot of coffee for that. Myself along with 2 other consultants drove out together and spent the night in the Carriage House and our rooms were lovely.

On Sunday we went to the mansion for the ABC seminar where we listened to Elise Enloe, the ABC State Coordinator in Florida, and Lois Pearce the State Coordinator in Connecticut, speak for the day about all the things you should know when you own your own business. There were members of different ranks from Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York in attendance.

The Cranwell Resort put out a wonderful lunch for us with Roasted Red Pepper soup, tortellini salad, mixed green salad and a large array of breads and cold cuts to make your own sandwich. For those that still had room after lunch there was Apple Pie (which was so delicious) and coffee.

After lunch, we went on a tour of the mansion to see the different rooms available. When we reached the ballroom, it had been set up the way it would be for a reception and once again they did an amazing job. They had different centerpieces on all the tables so you could get an idea of the many options you had. They also had several different meal options, appetizers, soups and whatnot set up on a table and their presentations were beautiful. I have to say the Two Tone Melon Soup, which is a chilled soup of Honeydew and Cantaloupe was very pretty, perfect for a Spring or Summer wedding.

Once the seminar was over we had a bit of a break before going into the quarterly state meeting where Lois Pearce, who is also the Director of Ethnic Diversity for ABC, spoke once again. The topic this time was about the different traditions of various ethnicities and it was very enlightening. I've always enjoyed learning about wedding traditions in various cultures as I find it rather fascinating. Lois did a wonderful job during her presentation.

After the state meeting was done we found ourselves at dinner, eating yet another meal. It felt like we ate all day long! This time the Cranwell put out a 3 course meal and we had 4 options to choose from for both our appetizer and our entree. This time dessert consisted of assorted pastries and I sampled a couple cream puffs and they were divine! The rest of the consultants at my table said the same about the other pastries.

Once we finished dinner we were ready to hit the road for a long ride home. We said our goodbyes and we were on our way. Thankfully I had great company so the drive wasn't so bad, so thank you Heather & Edna!

The Cranwell Resort is definitely worth looking into whether it's for a wedding location, a weekend away with the girls, or some time away with your significant other, they have so much to offer. They have several options for overnight accommodations, a Spa with over 50 services to choose from so you can relax and be pampered, a Fitness Center and an 18-hole Championship Golf Course! There is definitely something for everyone.
